Updates

Just want to let everyone know that updates are going to be few and far between for the next couple of months. I just don't have time to edit the photos and post everything right now with our huge move coming up in the next few weeks. We still have to get ready for the packers, college finals, volunteer hours at the twins' school, t-ball, and the list goes on and on. So if you don't hear from us, it's not because we aren't breathing anymore... it just means we are crazy busy trying to keep life in order. The boys and I will be in Utah around the July 25th-August 20th or so, Lincoln will be with us the last two weeks of that. So if you want to see us, let me know and we'll make plans to get together. :) Hope to see most of you soon!!!

She rode the bus to school. (I've never ridden the school bus.)

Go to the post office.

She goes looking for her boy.

For being my mommy.

Making me safe.

Building things.

She goes to the Commissary.

Broccoli.

When you help me build my little lego airplane.

Updates on our family...

So Lincoln is continuing to work and stay busy as the station captain, which means even less time of seeing him.  We both started college classes up again this week.  I am just staying busy with the kids and trying to prepare for our upcoming move.  

Trevor and Jackson are still staying busy with Sure Start and loving it.  They just finished up their spring break and return to school again tomorrow.  They will also be starting T-ball tomorrow, so be expecting a few pictures from that soon.  They are also super excited to go to Grandma's house this summer and they keep trying to convince me that we have to move there.  Daddy can get a job because they have "stores" in Utah.  Unfortunately, that's not how it works out.  :)  I also can't believe my sweet boys will be starting Kindergarten this year.  

Cameron is almost 14 months and still refusing to walk by himself.  He'll take a few steps, but he just doesn't want to cross the room without the security of a hand yet.  He's also developed his personality tenfold.  He's definitely stubborn (which seems to be a common trait among all three of my children).  He's turned into this really bashful, but hysterical, little boy who keeps us on our toes and full of belly laughs.  His brothers love to play with him and keep him entertained.  

We are also moving in 3 months, but we have no idea where we are going yet.  The list of available bases comes out this week, and then we will know the beginning of May sometime where we are going.  Our family is planning on spending a few weeks in Utah toward the end of July/early August... so if you want to catch us, let me know.  

Everything else is pretty routine here.  I have a few stories and pictures to share, but I will update as I can.  I can't wait to share the Lego up the nose story.  :)

Silly Jackson

So I haven't had a ton of time lately (as if you can't tell). But I am currently in the process of editing photos and typing up posts.  So be prepared to be bombarded soon.  :)  Anyway,  Jackson has said a few funny things lately and I wanted to post them before I forgot them.  

We were on our way home the other day, and we drove by the cemetery that is the down the road from our house.  Jackson got visibly upset and said, "Mommy we don't have a shovel to dig a hole to put you in and a stone on when you DIE!!"  My son already wants to bury me.  

The other one, once again in the car... and we had the windows down with the rare sunny weather that we've been having lately.  The wind was blowing in, and Jackson, who has a water bottle in hand, says, "The wind is making my water wiggle.. even the water in my eyes is wiggling!!"

So Woobie has decided that it's time for him to take his first steps. He isn't truly walking, but we've caught him taking a few steps and Linc was so THRILLED that he was the first one to see him do it. He was one proud Daddy!

Changes.

So I have been mulling over this a lot, and have decided that to make some changes on what/how I blog. This blog has been very much about what we have been doing, and mostly about the boys; but it's not ME. I've considered starting a separate blog as a journal, but for some reason it doesn't feel right to me. THIS is my life and my family, and my journal. It's all a part of who I am and someday, it will be something that my children will look back on, maybe fondly, maybe not. I don't know. But I am a person who is extremely open about my feelings, and about who I am as a person. The good. The bad. The ugly. I have always shared who I am, and I feel like I would be lying or hiding something by not posting it here, but yet posting it somewhere else.

So you are going to find that this blog is going to become a lot more personal, from my perspective. As a wife, a mother, and a woman. Doesn't mean people are going to like it, nor do I expect them to. But this is ME, and I am who I am. That also doesn't mean I am going to post every little thing, but there are some personal things that I do like to talk about, and that I do like to get feedback on. A lot of it, I'm sure will come from my personal perspective of motherhood, and sometimes my own struggles with it, or just my own life in general.  If I ever offend, please know that these are just my feelings and not necessarily the reality of the situation.  That's why it's a journal.  :)

From this point of the blog, and I'm just going to go forward. There is some stuff that I will try to backdate as I can, but right now, it is just too daunting of a task.. and in the mean time, everyone is missing out on all the current stuff of my family because I feel like I have to post the old stuff first. So there you have it. Change. Change is good. :)

I'm not dead.

Haha. No I have not forgotten about the blog. Things have just been insanely crazy. The boys were home for Christmas break, and then getting them back into a routine, and now Lincoln is TDY to a school in Texas. He won't be back until mid-February. Anyway, Linc left last weekend and basically our whole house has fallen apart. LOL. Sunday night all 3 boys got the stomach flu within an hour. Then I got it, and then we all got colds. Actually I have tonsillitis (yay me). To top it all off, both Woobie and I have taken a good fall this week. He shoved a closed pen up into his gums, which resulted in a rather large gash and lots of blood. I on the other hand took a tumble down my entire flight of marble stairs. I stepped about two steps and slid like I hit black ice. I think we are both rather sore. I have limited use of my wrist and shoulder; which I think is going to be rather entertaining because I'm going to have to get creative taking care of 3 kids by myself for a month. :) The boys are finally feeling better (after they missed school all week), and now they are just stir crazy and ready to go back to school.

So that's life in a nutshell right now. I'm going to try and post this week once i can actually get the boys back to school and have a second to spare! Hope life is treating everyone well!! I'm counting the days to hubby comes home so things can get back to normal and everything can quit falling apart. It's the cardinal rule. Whenever they leave, all the bad stuff happens. :) The joys of being a military spouse. In all honesty though, things could be a million times worse, so I think I'm just going to count my blessings this go around. :) I'm grateful that i have children who can get sick, and drive me crazy, and a body that function (even if it is clumsy). :) Most importantly a husband who can listen to my freak outs and rants half way around the world, and love me anyway. :) I'm definitely blessed.

Staying public

So after much hemming and hawing on my part, I've decided to go ahead and stay public.  I've gone through all my old posts and took out the big identifying information so that I can provide some privacy for my children, but still remain in touch with everyone.  Blogger only allows you to invite 100 people and I have more than that to keep up with, so here we are.  :)  If you want to see our family photos, please click the link above and enter our last name as the username and password.  If you don't know it, then you aren't meant to see the pictures.  :)  Thanks everyone for being patient with me.

Magic Birthday Cake & Spankings

So in Sure Start, Ms. B celebrates all the kids' birthdays. She has the birthday boy/girl sit up front in the big floppy hat...

All the kids get out their BIG mixing bowls and the birthday boy/girl gets to put whatever they want in their magic birthday cake. Both the boys said candles... I guess they like to eat wax.

Then after they all stir in the magic ingredients, Ms. B gathers everyone's magic bowls and puts it in the magic oven. Then they sing to the birthday boy/girl and wait for the oven to ding to get their magic cake (a Little Debbie's cake). Then it's time to get ready for birthday spankings. (I love how Jackson sticks his butt out in the air, ready for action.)

And then the birthday boy receives a "kiss to grow an inch."
